We did 2 weeks in South Africa, flew out on Xmas day....we are heading to France in May or June but the wife is already talking about heading back to Africa. We are thinking of Tanzania next time. It is surreal.
Yeah, 7 and 8 Y.O.'s would probably get bored with it but 10-11 would probably be a good age range.
