*Democrat Politician Aids and Abets Crime, Local Sheriff says Politicians like her should be Arrested*

On Monday, liberal state representative Michelle DuBois took to her social media to warn local illegal immigrants that an immigration raid was imminent in their community. I’m not a lawyer but this strikes me as an act that helps others commit a crime while also assisting them in avoiding capture by authorities. In fact, it kind of seems like the very definition of “aiding and abetting.” *Aiding and abetting** is a legal doctrine related to the guilt of someone who aids or abets in the commission of a crime. It exists in a number of different countries and generally allows a court to pronounce someone guilty for aiding and abetting in a crime even if they are not the principal offender.* Here’s what DuBois wrote on her Facebook page <http://29dvttiq6ry1heyds3zfg0uf.wpengine.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/Screen-Shot-2017-03-30-at-4.55.45-PM.png> : *ICE raid in Brockton on 3/28 and 29th * *If you get picked up by ICE call legal services direct line for immigration help: 774-488-5961* *I got the following information from my friend in the Latin community:* *“I have a message for the immigrant community of Brockton. Please be careful on Wednesday 29. ICE will be in Brockton on that day.* *If you are undocumented don’t go out on the street. If there is a knock on the door of your house and you don’t know who it is, don’t open the door. I ask you to be careful.”* I think that someone must have told her that she might get into quite a bit of trouble for posting this message and undermining local authorities, so she later update the post to say that she was simply trying to help Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) by notifying them that their raids had been compromised. (A likely story.) ICE wasn’t buying DuBois’ story and when asked about her decision to post that information to her Facebook page, ICE officials rebuked the politician for her behavior <http://www.foxnews.com/us/2017/03/29/facebook-post-warning-illegal-immigrants-ice-raid-deleted-but-defended.html> . *“For operational security reasons, ICE does not release information regarding future operations. ICE does not conduct random sweeps, checkpoints or raids that target aliens indiscriminately. Any person who actively incites panic or fear of law enforcement is doing a disservice to the community, endangering public safety and the very people they claim to support and represent.”* ICE wasn’t the only one criticizing DuBois’ actions. The very next day, Tuesday March 28th, Massachusetts Sheriff Thomas Hodgson was in Washington, D.C. to testify before Congress about how illegal immigration and our government’s refusal to enforce the law negatively impacts community safety. Hodgson testified that Sanctuary policies and refusal to enforce immigration law make all of our communities less safe, and they also make the job of law enforcement officers more dangerous. To counter the trend towards lawlessness, Hodgson suggests that we begin ARRESTING Sanctuary City leaders, and any other politicians who refuse to enforce our immigration laws! “*If these sanctuary cities are going to harbor and conceal criminal illegal aliens from ICE, which is in direct violation of Title 8 of the U.S. Code, federal arrest warrants should be issued for their elected officials.”* Hodgson then spoke specifically about DuBois’ ridiculous Facebook post: *“This is the most outrageous, outrageous thing of what I think, example of what is going on across the United States. It’s undermining my job and every other law enforcement officer in the United States to keep our communities safe, and that elected official is responsible for protecting the welfare of the people of their communities.”* Hodgson then went on to remind everyone that when ICE comes to their community they may be conducting raids in an effort to find suspected terrorists, gang members, or others with heinous criminal pasts. Actions like the one taken by DuBois endanger lives and she should face a penalty for what she’s done.
