January 20, 2014; WASHINGTON D.C.: SMI Hyundai Corporation Ltd. [SMI]; a company operating out of Fairfax Virginia, is in the process of perfecting service on its complaint against His Royal Highness Prince Khaled bin Al-Waleed bin Talal bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, [Khaled]; and his associate Mr. Massimilano Pincione [Pincione]; from New York. SMI entered into a contract with Khaled and Pincione to engage their services to collect monies owed to SMI for work performed in the Nation of Libya. The total sum owed to SMI was $17.8 million and the contract provided for a $4.6 million commission to be paid to Khaled and Pincione upon the successful collection of amounts due. The complaint filed on May 23, 2013 in Fairfax County Virginia (U.S.) alleges Khaled and Pincione, by way of forging numerous documents, conspired and schemed to defraud SMI by collecting and then diverting SMI’s $17.8 million for Khaled’s and Pincione’s personal benefit and enrichment. The complaint further alleges additional fraudulent documents were created by Khaled and Pincione which changed the commission of the contract from $4.6 million to $15 million. Khaled is the son of HRH Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, [Prince Al-Waleed] who is the founder, CEO and 95% owner of Kingdom Holding Company, [KHC]; which is based in Ryadh, Saudi Arabia. Prince Al-Waleed has been a prominent investor in Citigroup through KHC since 1991 and is the largest single shareholder in the company. Prince Al-Waleed is also the second largest voting shareholder in News Corporation and holds major stakes in dozens of other Western companies. Arabian Business ranked Prince Al-Waleed as the most influential Arab in the world, and in March 2013, Forbes listed Prince Al-Waleed as the 26th richest man in the world with an estimated net worth of U.S. $20 Billion.
