All your arguments are valid, however, you seek a solution within the system that is responsible for these serious problems facing humanity. If you look at any problem facing mankind today, it is the incessant drive for profit that is the root cause. Nothing will change unless the system changes. How many pressure groups are there in the world today pushing for more responsible government? Tens of thousands--and they are all getting nowhere--everyone of them.
Governments don't care what the people want, they must protect the financial interests of the nation state above all other considerations.
