Uhm..... My recollection was that UN Resolution 181 of 1946 (or 1947?) created two states, Israel and Palestine. No question, many Palestinians were uprooted when this partition took place, without any kind of reparation to those that were forced to leave their lands. Just as important, there was a far larger Christian and Muslim population than there was a Jewish population in the region.
I believe in the right for the State of Israel to exist, and for Israel to be able to defend itself. Having said that, some of Israel's political and geo-political decisions are indefensible.
