For days after the attack you could hear the men trapped inside the
ships pounding on the hull asking for help that no one could give
them .  they were left to die alone and in the dark ! and if you have
never been on board a ship when the power goes out you don't know what
dark is .  there deaths led to a change in the training given by the
navy to include how to escape from a partially flooded compartment
through a flooded compartment . which  has saved the lives of untold
Sailors i would like to thank the men whose sacrifice as led to saving
of so many other sailors !            mike 532
