Let me put this in simple terms for you. If I am a member of a street gang in New York and that gang has a meeting and decides to kill YOUR mother, wife and kids because they want to camp on your front lawn (they used to camp there prior to you gaining legal title and building your house) and use it as they see fit (religious meetings, drug selling, arms dealing, setting small fires to your house daily).
After several very patient years of putting out fires, having some of your family and visiting friends killed they attack you directly after telling the entire neihborhood that their plan is to exterminate you and all you stand for (they make this announcement on radio, TV, newspapers, internet and are serious). They start shooting into your house, they are not accurate and simply spray the place with weapons fire. The question is.... do you have the right and the obligation to fire back into their group ?? If they have their kids with them and it makes NO difference to them that they are there do you protect yourself or do you simply let them kill you ?? Oh, the cops have been called and that gang simply told the cops to go to hell. The police did and will do nothing to stop this... they will only do something once you are dead. Do you protect yourself using any and all means possible ??
