I actually only remember about 5 of those things, but have heard about
or seen others, mostly at my Grandmother's house. Funny how quickly
things change!
I was watching an old movie with my husband the other night and I
commented on how much I liked men wearing hats, and I wondered why
they don't anymore (ballcaps don't count). He said he figured men
stopped wearing hats about the same time women stopped dressing up
every day. That led to a conversation about manners, etc, and we came
to the conclusion that polite, mannered society stopped about the time
the dress code slackened. This ties into this thread because I think
it is also related to not sitting around the dinnertable together
anymore.
No wonder kids are so screwed up!
