Delusion or ignorance? Iraq war successful? Define your metrics for success. So we got Hussein and killed his family, but we had to kill or help kill millions of other Iraqis, just because we were fooled into thinking they had WMD.
Hmmmm. How's that hunt for the WMD going? Oh yeah, they must have truckloads of it by now. Back before we invaded Iraq, Cheney and Rumsfeld went around claiming that it wouldn't cost more than a few $billion and last more than a few months. 6 years later we spend a few $billion each week. So, I'm wondering where the success is. Democrats didn't lose this war for the US. It was the lack of understanding by the Bush Administration and the bone-headed diplomacy that did that. It got so bad that Bush had to censor flag-draped coffins from the news. Fox News' own Jeraldo Rivera was the one giving away our position on TV. It wasn't Democrats killing soldiers. It also wasn't Democrats torturing--ignoring decades, possibly centuries-honed interrogation techniques. No. They knew better because they watch "24" on NBC each week and it never fails.
