Another blow to the global warming farce:
A glitch in satellite sensors caused scientists to underestimate
the extent of Arctic sea ice by 500,000 square kilometers (193,000
square miles), a California- size area, the U.S. National Snow and Ice
Data Center said.
The error, due to a problem called "sensor drift," began in early
January and caused a slowly growing underestimation of sea ice extent
until mid-February. That's when "puzzled readers" alerted the NSIDC
about data showing ice-covered areas as stretches of open ocean, the
Boulder, Colorado-based group said on its Web site. … The extent of
Arctic sea ice is seen as a key measure of how rising temperatures are
affecting the Earth.
It's good that someone is paying attention, rather than taking
official propaganda at face value. We have reached the point in our
slide toward totalitarianism where all data originating from the
government is suspect, if not presumably false.
In light of the cold winters we've been having, it shouldn't be
surprising that all the ice isn't melting after all. Nonetheless, the
hoax is pressing full steam ahead. In the name of this fictional
crisis, Obama will be imposing a cap-and-trade system to suppress
harmless CO2 emissions. This is estimated to cost the American economy
as much as $1.3 trillion over the next 21 years.
But at this point, what's another $trillion? We'll be burning US
currency to heat our homes by the time we get Obama out of the White
House.
