Morpheal’s Commentary - March 10th, 2009 - Northern Ireland, United
States of Africa, Liberation of Tibet and Impeccable Spying

NORTHERN IRELAND AND RESURGENCE OF THE IRA:

Areas already suffering chronic poverty, in tough times, suffer more,
and it is in such places anger based on disparities, and on ethnic and
political differences, gains expression, often in acts of enraged
violence. Northern Ireland is such a place, and it is impossible to
speak of a peace process where the real basis for anger is never
really an open subject, discussed with forthright honesty, at a
bargaining table. The violent attacks tend to be against symbols of a
blamed authority.

No matter what other arguments are loosed to try to lever political
position, we all must know that every violent act of insurrection and
rebellion, anywhere in the world, has at its deepest roots something
economic. Without that fact all manner of other differences of
religions, ethnicities, and matters of governance, would be largely
mute. People who have sufficiency are far less concerned with
committing desperate acts than those who do not. Persistent denial of
such facts only leads to an eventual worsening of the situation.

A UNITED STATES OF AFRICA ENDING THE CONTINENT’S GRIM PROGNOSIS ?

Africa can contend with the recession and build its future, if and
only if it breaks loose from dependence upon other nations for its
economic impetus and direction. A United States of Africa, by whatever
name it chooses, can brighten the horizon, with new hope for the
oppressed continent. We might wonder if Colonel Khadafy might truly be
the father of such a nation, and the first architect of its future,
reclaiming its desert by means of its united capabilities to now bring
about that change.

TIBET NEEDS LIBERATION FROM THE DALAI LAMA:

Facts speak clearly against the Dalai Lama. No nation should have to
suffer enslavement to support a religious elite. The Dalai Lama should
find a real job, and become a productive citizen, not rely upon a
nation of feudal serfs to serve the needs of his do nothing religious
nobility. China should close down the monasteries, making them museums
to superstitious ignorance, sending the membership out into the world
to farm, make useful goods and to provide needed services that benefit
the people.

The monasteries have long been a refuge from meaningful and productive
work. They have long been a burden on their societies. They have long
stood in the way of modern, scientific, rational progress, as bastions
of conservative superstitions, using fear to control the local
population, kept ignorant of the truth. Tibetan buddhism has long
relied on what we in the west would term “black magic” and
“demonology” to frighten the people into reverence and service to the
very large body of religious elite burdening Tiben society and
preventing modern education as part of its own program for survival
against progress. It is intolerable in this modern age that such
practices, of control of a whole nation, by means of irrational,
uneducated, ignorant, terror, would be allowed to in any way
continue. China must be supported in its continued efforts to
modernize Tibet. While it might look enticing to westerners, poorly
educated in Tibetan lore and practices, to continue traditional
Tibetan ignorance, the facts are that Tibet has been kept in a
medieval dark age of demons and fear mongering rituals by the very
same sect, loosely derivative from Buddhism, that the Dalai Lama is
proseletyzing and misrepresenting. Nowhere does the Dalai Lama mention
Tibetan demonology and its importance to traditional Tibetan political
practices.

IMPECCABLE SPYING:

BBC reports: (the Impeccable was in) international waters 75 miles
(120km) south of Hainan island. The ships "aggressively manoeuvred"
around the Impeccable "in an apparent co-ordinated effort to harass
the US ocean surveillance ship"....

What would the United States do if a Chinese ship was within 75 miles
of its submarine base, conducting surveillance operations there ? We
must assume that the United States would destroy the Chinese vessel
completely. As it is the United States vessel was treated with extreme
courtesy and we must commend the exceptional self control, discipline,
and fine manners of the Chinese government and its military in dealing
so gently with the United States incursion.

The Commander in Chief of the United States armed forces, President
Barack Obama, should be clearly informed by now that such spy missions
do not serve the cause of world peace, and that he is very lucky that
China does not deal with United States transgressions in the same
manner as the United States military would deal with a similar Chinese
incursion. While the United States continues to attempt to torpedo all
forms of diplomacy, China is showing a much more civilized approach,
and does not seize or sink transgressions the way the United States
would respond at 75 miles from the Virginia coast. Let’s get real,
shall we ? Be done to as you would do unto them ? Keep complaining
about Chinese naval harassment, Mr. Obama, and that is what you might
just get in return. We all know that Chinese spy ships cannot operate
within 75 miles of the American coast. Least of all Roanoke,Virginia.
Would you, Mr. Obama, like Chinese spy vessels operating within 75
miles of where you keep your newest ballistic submarines ? We think
you owe China a very sincere apology.

The world cannot fail but to comprehend the United States actions as
dangerously provocative and a clear sign that the United States is
less interested in world peace and cooperation than it is in
provocation of China and its military, perhaps as a potential way out
of its own economic catastrophe ? Clearly the United States chose to
be caught with its pants down, near Hainan’s Chinese naval facilities,
knowing that that would necessarily provoke Chinese response. The
world community must realize the seriousness of the situation, knowing
that the vessel could potentially have been sunk or captured as a spy
ship operating in Chinese waters, endangering Chinese national
security.
