We have done well in our vigil to defend the 2nd Amendment and prevent many of the following things from taking place, however this is one battle that will not end. The Obama administration is subversively attacking our 2nd amendment rights in an effort to effectively eliminate them. They will disarm our veterans and active duty troops because they can ‘easily’ do so by government order. We have already heard and seen the possible legislation that would lump PTSD in the disqualifier category. To quote Scott L’Ecuyer, Director American Cold War Veterans Inc<http://www.americancoldwarvets.org/>, “You go to fight for your country, when you return home the government disarms you!” The liberals have made clear that you the American citizen are not capable of making business decisions on your own. You are not capable of voting on your own. You are not capable of even running your own bank account. This ideology also believes that you need nothing more than ‘words’ and the government to protect and defend your home and family. We have seen this before in Australia, China, Europe the UK. First registration and restrictions then confiscation! We have also seen that the criminals tend not to turn in their weapons. This of course leaves you to protect your home and family against a well armed criminal element with nothing more than the utensils in your kitchen. Shocking. They (the liberals) are eroding away the social fabric and traditional family structure then disarming the citizens. This is the first step to tyranny … a dictatorship and enslavement. This has been true throughout history in every corner of the world. You may recall HR 1022 and the previous devious attempts the Democrats made under the Bush administration regarding the Brady plan. This serves as their framework for the current attack on the 2nd amendment. They will first take out the veterans, military, courts, regulatory agencies, firearms dealers etc and finally … You! This should come as no surprise. Obama has been trying to deceive the American people about his true view of an individual’s right to keep and bear arms. Obama has held strict anti-gun and anti-self-defense positions for 20 years. Obama partnered with Ted Kennedy to sponsor an amendment to ban almost all rifle ammunition commonly used for hunting and sport shooting. This proves he is against guns period, in any form. In Illinois as a legislator and U.S. Senator, he consistently backed gun control initiatives and was one of if not the most aggressive advocate and voice for new gun control. He (Obama) has made it clear he wants to ban the “Concealed Carry” across the country, effectively terminating this 2nd amendment right currently practiced by citizens in 40 states. Obama consistently voted against legislation that would have allowed homeowners to use an affirmative defense when they use firearms to defend themselves and their families. So all of this again, should come as no surprise from the man that refused to sign the “friend of the court” brief in the Heller case. They (the Democrats) are pulling their typical wag the dog subversive tactics on all of this, trying to slip it under the radar as they have done with most things recently. Once our 2nd Amendment rights are taken away or restricted to a point that they may as well have been taken away it will impact every aspect of our freedom. Slowly but surely the Bill of rights and constitution will cease to have any meaning whatsoever. Under this plan the Attorney General gets carte blanche to ban guns at will, giving the Attorney General the ability to add any “semiautomatic rifle or shotgun originally designed for military or law enforcement use, or a firearm based on the design of aforementioned, that is not particularly suitable for sporting purposes, as determined by the Attorney General. That would be Attorney General Eric Holder. Yes the same Eric holder that determined during the Heller case that you have no right to have a working firearm in your home period.
