Bush Apologists supported Bush the Destroyer. You can make all the excuses you want but the country is in the shape it is in because Bush was the worst President in history.
He didn't keep us safe. He didn't follow the law. He wasn't a conservative. He ignored warnings about 9/11 He allowed treason to go unpunished. He conducted a war of unprovoked aggression. He authorized the torture of prisoners that resulted in 98 deaths. He co-opted the Constitution, The Bill of Rights and the rule of law. Some how a lie about a blow job just doesn't seem to rise to the same level of incompetence, arrogance and criminality.
