I too was a big Letterman fan through the eighties, and the writer nails the skits/quirks that made Letterman so great, (not to mention that the band is kick ass!!) Somewhere, and it was long before the election, Letterman became very "far left" in his jokes and humor. I haven't watched him now in several years, other than an occasional "flip through". I hate that, because Letterman, when he was at the top of his game, was as good as if not better than Carson.
