There is a somber truth in Horace's advice not to piss on the graves of your parents/ancestors unlike the modern approach of psychoanalysis/ culture which comes back to flay you like a whip. Or the 4th Commandent to honor father and mother- next in line to duties to God. I guess the "confessional poets" of the '60's and '70's learned that the hard way as suicides. The recent interview follows a nasty article he wrote for the NYTimes a couple of weeks ago.
