Afghan General McChrystal's History of Turture We should all contact our senators to demand they vote against the Hate Crimes Law, already passed by the House of Representatives, which would take away our inalienable right of freedom of speech. And now Defense (Offense?) Secretary Gates, Bush administration holdover has selected General Stanley McChrystal as the new top general in Afghanistan. McChrystal is known as heading up the notorious Camp Nama in Baghdad, known for illegally not allowing Red Cross inspections, probably mainly because they were routinely torturing prisoners by such methods as punches to the face, ice water causing hypothermia (two Iraqi prisoners died from this), burnings, and beatings. McChrystal also worked for Vice President Rich Cheney's assassination squad, which assassinated people in twelve countries including LOTS in Iraq. With the top US general now in Afghanistan recently telling Afghan President Karzai that he would continue aerial bombings despite his opposition, we know that this war is really to secure Afghanistan, like Iraq earlier and maybe eventually Pakistan, as US colonies. We should be getting out of Afghanistan and Iraq immediately.
