Pray your parents leave you some dough and the government doesn't whisk it away in estate taxes. Start saving and investing on your own and don't rely on the government. For anything. Join Boy Scouts/Girl Scouts and Be Prepared in your youth/or some other strategy or the military. Don't fall for razzle-dazzle culture. Marry the right mate/ chuck the bad ones. Try to limit your unhealthy habits. Approach all health gurus with caution- including the medical field. Smoking and ardent spirits have been around for many centuries, i.e. don't be a guinea pig for rx/surgery- which you are since they are very new and really no one knows the long term effects on the body. Eat healthy. Refuse stress as your daily mood as it has a lethal chain reaction in your body's defense/hormone system. End relationships that are a dead- end. Cope with the fact you will ultimately die and rise every morning thanking God for another day. Put flashy jewels in your safety deposit box- they are worthless as resold and attract thieves. I sold two 5 carat solitaires of my mothers to pay attorney fees for Probate and divorce and my marquise to keep my second husband going in his law office- I was his best client plus why would I want daughter-in laws that needed them to flash? Keep a sense of humor. Keep in shape. Take time off to be a hermit once in a while so you remember who you are and marvel at your story. Who could have lived your life but you?
