Mark, The concept of Islam, *e.g.;* Sharia, is Orwellian.
No, I don't believe that it is wrong to live by and honor your religious tenets. The problem, (and yes, I am simplifying this; the proverbial "Reader's Digest Abridged Version") is that Islam has not reformed. Although Islam is relatively new as compared to Christianity and especially Judaism, where Judaism has reformed countless times, and Christianity has reformed at least ten or eleven times, Islam is as it was, over nine hundred years ago. As I said above, the concept of Sharia is so foreign to us in the West, that it is hard to conceptualize. Sharia governs every aspect of your life, including your thoughts!
