“It’s clear to me that our priorities as a nation are reversed,” stated Palin. “When someone gets nominated based on whether they’re a Latina or not, is really screwed up. I would certainly hope that she’s smarter than she lets on.” Palin was easily the leading voice for conservatives in 2008, and during her speech, thousands of people began to chant “run Sarah run,” pounding the tables in support of her candidacy for President of the United States.
