Travis, did you read the article or just post it?
"Labour Foreign Office Minister Chris Bryant wants to dump the Red
Cross’ well-known logo because it is supposedly linked to the
Crusades.

Forget the fact that the logo has been one of the world’s most
identifiable symbols for more than 100 years. Bryant is quivering with
fear that it may suddenly offend Muslims. And that, of course, simply
will not fly in today’s politically correct world."

The article then goes on to say that it is the reverse of the Swiss
national flag and has nothing to do with the crusades. They are
partially right. The International Red Cross was started in Geneva
Switzerland in 1863. The flag of the city and the canton of Geneva is
white with a red cross of equal length and width. It was chosen not
for any religious reason but because it represented Geneva, the city
of peace and neutrality.

The Red Cross is not going to dump it, a British Minister wants to
dump it. That is a far cry from the title of this thread, wouldn't
you agree?

The Swiss did not take part in the crusades either. They were smarter
than that.
