My grandmother used to say that also. I still miss her very much, she died during my recovery from a brain annurysm. (misspelled)
NOW: To get right down to it: You DO realize that the President does NOT run the country.....NEITHER does the GOP, or the DEMS...OR the Senate....its the HOUSE of Representatives. Thats how George Washington set the government up....so the HOUSE makes the decisions....thats the "We the People" part"....so it heeds us to chose the House members carefully. However it IS the president of the USA that represents the IMAGE of the USA....He gets the blame or acclaim for 'the good, the bad & the ugly.' ....How he conceived by the public, even if 'Joe Blow' is his reputation. So its NOT a WHO is the President, its HOW the general public and the WORLD view him. (He ALSO has that veto power) In short: The IMAGE of the USA. I just don't think the 'free world' OR the rest of it will have a positive view of us as a country...He stirred things up before the election as to his birth. That will follow him the whole four years....as well as other issues.... sILVER bELLE > Date: Tue, 23 Jun 2009 18:43:15 -0700 > Subject: Re: FW: Americans begin to lose confidence in stimulus > From: [email protected] > To: [email protected] > > > As my grandmother used to say, "Six on one hand, half a dozen on the > other."
