Altogether the cost of escorts, police, sanitation and security for the Jackson memorial is expected to cost the Los Angeles City Council almost $4 million. On Tuesday the City Council launched a website asking fans to donate to the $4 million ceremony. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa is asking fans to contribute to the $4 million tab. ---
No word on how much it would have cost them to do their regular job... probably $4 million anyway...or is this their regular job? I don't know if the Jackson family ever asked the police for anything, or why government would grant such requests, or if government did it on their own accord. I would assume when ever the police hear a call from a celebrity, police, ambulances, EMT's, and every other government worker comes in droves anyway so they can say they were there however useless they actually are. Most of the celebrities are going to show up with their own security anyway. But I guess you can never have enough. I would imagine there's even security watching security. All-in-all though, I suspect the government will break even. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Thanks for being part of "PoliticalForum" at Google Groups.
