I didn't respond, but I will now.

Yes, I think there is a certain logic to giving more "credence";  or
magnitude, (I'm not sure of what adjective I am looking for here!!) to an
individual's vote(s), who pays his income taxes, property taxes, and a host
of other federal, state and municipal taxes, as opposed to a person who pays
none of the above.

Of course, I learned at an early age, (when in my thirties and when I
employed about 45 individuals who ususally did not vote the way that I did);
that it was not prudent to give them the day off, or a half of a day off to
go and vote, which had previously been my practice.  I don't
encourage ignorant, uninformed folks to go and vote anymore....I want them
to stay at home, and continue to ride the government gravy train.
