Why are you still wasting time on this thread? I'm not sure why so
many wish to see a negative in this, but IMO, I think this is a
wonderful picture for Obama and race relations. Crowley and Gates were
the central figures in this ugly incident, and when you consider what
their 'relationship' was a couple of weeks ago, I think seeing them
side by side, Crowley helping Gates, is the ONLY picture that would
have meant a thing. Gates didn't need two men helping him and Obama
helping Gates wouldn't have been insignificant. In fact, you can argue
that Obama, leading the way with his jacket off and sleeves rolled up,
looks to be playing the part of the guy that did the work in the
trenches that made the Gates/Crowley photo-op possible.
