An assault is a threat, perceived or actual. So the unidentified congressman may merely have perceived that since he was not warmly welcomed but was hissed and booed, that he was in danger. I find in interesting that the article has no actual details. If the police were there to help him escape, they could also have arrested those making the assault, if there was one. It appears to be another trite piece by the FEAR MACHINE. Richard
