What passes for history is not taught in state-run schools. We are not told that we let the Japanese off from war crimes trials because they gave us such things as films showing how land mines blew bodies apart. They used our captured service men as guinea pigs and had them walk across mine fields while the cameras rolled. That information was more important than justice. We were not told that our own government developed a poison that could be wiped on a surface and would kill those who touched it. They put it on a mail deposit box and set it on a street corner in San Francisco and filmed people touching it to deposit mail, walking away only to drop dead about fifty feet away. They only stopped the project when two cops, who arrived on the scene, touched the box and fell down dead. It was considered bad form to kill cops, but citizens...no problem. And so it goes......history will repeat itself because the masses are ignorant of it.
