Various news agencies went to Florida and pooled their people to conduct their own recount. The results were that Bush won. If you counted the votes of all the counties, he won. If you counted the votes of just those counties that Gore wanted counted, he won. If you counted the absentee ballots of the military, which were not considered valid by the Democratic Party, he won by an even bigger margin. But they like to keep the myth alive that he "stole the election". Disclaimer...I did NOT vote for the man...or his father...or Reagan...or Ford....or Nixon. I'm just trying to keep a bit of truth alive in these discussions.
