Some of the latest lies, lies and damn lies Republicans use are that the health care reforms have death panels, the Canadian and UK health care systems are failures, and that either Canada and the UK ration their own health care, or that rationing will take place in the US if reform is enacted.
#1. There is no death panels. #2. If health care was a failure in Canada and the UK, they'd change it. (It isn't and they like it). #3. Canada and the UK not only don't ration, they provide for anyone including illegal aliens completely free of any charges. #4. The US already has rationing...it's the 48 million people who have limited or no access to health care. The UK provides universal coverage with zero paperwork or charges at 1/3rd the cost the US health care system does, with equal success if not better. That includes full coverage dental care. By UK law, doctors referring patients to a specialist must see patients within 2 weeks or be penalized. In the UK, if you don't feel you have enough coverage, you are free to buy more insurance...and that's what the rich do. It's not like the rich in the US do anything different now or would they under universal care. Currently I'm in the process of spending $2330. for 1 crown. In the UK the cost to taxpayers is approximately $250. US for 1 crown.
