But it would be your choice and your future. Why should I have to turn
my future over to a ponzi scheme of the feds that has been used as a
federal ATM since LBJ days. I should have the right to select how I
want my retirement paid for. Social Security basically says I don't
have that right nor does the company I work for. Suppose that instead
of a bad stock market situation we had a good one. Would you still be
calling it ripped off? Suppose that instead of investing in the stock
market I were able to use that money to buy rental properties or save it
in a bank. There are a lot of possibilities other than the federal
ponzi. Why should we not be able to use them. Instead we are stuck
with what the feds decide to do with the money and then let them pillage
the funds for their own uses. And you and your lib buddies think that
is just dandy. Makes it easier for you to fund your entitlements and
then claim you have to raise taxes because otherwise Social Security
will be broke.
