so, will the Democrats who insisted it was true do a) claim Bush forced the CIA to "lie" -- that is admit they bought into a lie, or
b) admit the CIA has had a problem with its analysis since the 1970's, or c) 2001 was somehow different than 2007 in CIA assessments??? In 2007 and 8 I said that the basic problem was that the report was a snapshot of 2003 NOT 2007, so people how insisted, like Democrats, the 2003 must be the same as 2007, LIED... After all, it was not without consequences. The report essentially bought the Iranians two years of non-interfering in their obvious (to everyone but the “intelligence community”) drive to build nuclear weapons. Who chose the authors of the LIE? How much did they get paid for distorting intelligence, betraying their trust, our trust (those who had any left after an unbroken record of intelligence community bungling)?
