Holly, No one said this was Congress passing law or mass hysteria sweeping the country. There was only one incident of a court order to remove a statue of the Ten Commandments yet it also sparked a firestorm of debate, not because of the numbers of people directly impacted but because of the implications. This teacher, and this principal; what they did represents the next step in the evolution of elevating Obama the person above the office of the President. As to why "hymn" instead of "song"; a hymn IS a song, but a specific song designed to praise someone, typically a deity, and that's exactly how these people are treating him.
