It is really a shame the absent MODERATORS have chosen to ignore this malicious spam promoting the use of pirated appz and some DVD movies. We certainly can't expect Woody, the contrarian, to do the right thing and protect the group from this assault.
In non-technical terms - Woody's jimmyrocket1949 Hotmail email address is being spoofed. The spam emails being sent by the "spoofer" are providing links to pirated appz and DVD movies. The links are likely bogus but will likely cause an infection of some sort if a group member should accidentally click on the link. Woody SHOULD unsubscribe that email address from this group and remove the email address of this group from his Address Book (IF APPLICABLE). If Woody fails to do this, the MODERATORS are obligated to moderate and remove all these spam posts before they are sent to the group OR remove the offending email address permanently. Failure to do so makes the MODERATORS and Woody co-conspirators with the spammer (certainly the MODERATORS don't allow non-members to post to the group???). If no action is taken by the MODERATORS this should be reported to Google. I doubt that Google approves of the promotion of illegal copyright infringement in Google Groups but some idiots in this group probably think this is a First Amendment right. LOL! Please don't tell me to read the board on the web. Google Groups are groups and the INDIVIDUAL EMAIL option is available to group members. TAKE ACTION before the situation worsens!!!
