One person had stage 4 cancer another had stage 1 cancer,
guess who is still alive and why!

I am speaking from personal experience
so this is NOT a story about someone
who knew someone.

My wife was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer
6 years ago. I am a stock broker with a high
end insurance plan.

A week after she was diagnosed she was having
surgery. The Primary Cancer was removed and
we did on the other hot spots.

Within 3 months she had three additional procedures
3 hospital stays and began Radiation and Chemotherapy
within 4 Months of being diagnosed.

My wife is still alive 6 years after the Diagnosis.

Another individual was diagnosed with Breast
Cancer in the first stage of development. It took
1 month for her to be scanned for the Cancer and
another 2 months before she had biopsies done.
3 months after that she finally had surgery to
remove the primary Cancer.

When she went back for follow up 6 months later
the cancer had spread to her lymph nodes.

3 months later she had surgery again followed by
Chemotherapy and Radiation. Within a year she was dead.

She had a standard in system Doctor care plan that her
insurance company needed to approve all procedures before
they could be done and the bureaucracy from the insurance
company slowed down her care.

Her death was needless and avoidable. She had insurance
and the medical care to prevent her death was available.
The only reason she died was because of the insurance
clerks preventing her from getting the care she needed
in a timely manner.

My total heathcare Bills were over 1 million dollars, the other
individual's medical costs were well below $400,000. It wasn't
about the best medical care available but cost containment
and return on investment. Premiums paid against medical
costs involved.

Profits over saving a LIFE!

This is the status quo and enough is enough. I think
those who are defending the current system should have to
rely on this system to keep them alive.

Then you will see how fast things are addressed and changed.
