Our Republic was designed so that Businesses and their Employees would
pay Taxes.

Really? How about supporting such with substance.
One readily notes in the Constitution ... taxes were to be apportioned
amongst the states -- primarily tariff revenues.

The Government would spend those taxes according to our
Representitives who we voted for.

Again, that blasted Constitution cites that taxes raised for the purpose ONLY
of paying for those enumerated powers ... would be spent on those enumerated
powers as voted upon by the process outlined.

The Republic crafted by the Founders as described by the Constitution
was lost LONG ago to America's variant of socialism.

More and More Businesses are being taken over by our Government.
