So Mr. Eboo Patel's damage control article in USA TODAY - "Moderate Muslims? We're everywhere<http://blogs.usatoday.com/oped/2010/01/column-moderate-muslims-were-everywhere-.html>" , invoked some sharp responses from Americans; his article doesn't answer the fundamental question - "Why Muslims only are treated differently in USA, West and even in India ?"
Muslims love Civil rights as they have been deprived of this in all Muslim Nations, which are mostly ruled by dictators. Islam doesn't like or endorse democracy, supporters argue. Infidels, women and gays don't have equal civil rights in all Muslim Nations But, when Muslims migrate to America or West, first thing they explore is *their Civil Rights* by designating themselves as "Moderate Muslims". Savvy citizens, who keep a close eye on their *ever-cry-foul-brotherhood*CIVIL RIGHT organizations, designate them as " *The trouble maker moderate Muslims*". Do the moderate Muslims really cause trouble in democratic countries ? Well, we would ask you to read and infer that yourself. This blog is going to answer this question. Eboo Patel is very much right in one of his statement - "*Mainstream Muslims have zero influence over extremists*". But, are the mainstream Muslims doing enough to ease the tasks of law enforcement agencies in United States or in all the western democracies they live ? Are they ready to sacrifice the brotherhood feeling to support their country from heart ? No. Nidal Hasan couldn't and if one will take a look at the blogosphere, the moderate Muslims are outraged against USA, Europe, Israel and India. The only thing they (American Mainstream Muslims) have been doing is - demanding more and more civil rights and shouting to *stop religious profiling* with stupid arguments such as - "*First look at behavior, not at faith or skin color. Then spend what it takes to obtain more bomb-sniffing dogs, to install more sophisticated bomb-detection equipment and to train security personnel in identifying the behavior of real terror suspects.*” So, American Muslims basically suggesting the TSA,FBI and Police to search a needle in a haystack without profiling any one. Why do they feel bad, when subjected to enhanced security procedures. The writer, who lives in America and is a Hindu of Asian Origin and a frequent flier in US Airliners was asked to pass through the body scanner - it is a 15 second scanning procedure, whose only purpose is to keep America safe by preventing underwear bombers inside the Aeroplane. If every passenger has to pass through these scanners, not only several such machines would be required but also more time is required. Since the all the 21st Century terrorists are Muslims, it is logical (even though not moral) and fair enough for the security people to pay extra attention to Muslims, Arabs and some times even to Asian Hindus. No one wants to die in mid-air and it is in our own interest to cooperate with TSA. But, moderate Muslims don't cooperate; in stead, they ask - "How dare you use body scanners for our Women, to whom we mask by Burqa and don't allow any one to see their face ?" When we are not used to show their face to any one in public, how dare you want to see them in nude through your body scanning machines ?" What if tomorrow al-Qaeda deputes a lady panties-bomber to blow up a flight ? Can the main stream Muslims suggest an idea other than the body scanner ? They want the bank guard to allow a Burqa woman, whose face can't be filmed by the CCTV security camera. What if a terrorist goes to bank in a Burqa and does a robbery ? People in America started thinking that, the CIVIL LIBERTIES shouldn't be applicable to Muslims, as all the modern day terrorists and suicide bombers are Muslims and the future terrorists will also going to be Muslim. So, Muslim community must volunteer themselves to go through the additional scrutiny in stead of demanding equal treatment at par with Hindus, Jews or Christians. The law should treat every one equal but it also expects every community should behave equally. Muslims indulge in terrorism and hence they invite additional scrutiny. The day they stop terrorism, they get their civil rights back. They don't have to pass through body scanners. After the Major Nidal Hasan's shooting incident,people started believing that a Moderate Muslim can get radicalized by specific verses of Quaran or by a specific radical imam. Major Nidal Hasan was made to believe that Brotherhood is more important than serving his own country. Trust is something earned over a period of time - Hindus, Jews and Christians have earned it as they pose no danger to American people.They don't indulge in such stupid suicide bombing; even in the case of radicalized Hindus, Christians or Jews, if at all they exist. There are no equivalents of Osama Bin Laden and his followers in Hindu, Jews and Christian community. So when American Muslims claims victory in any CIVIL RIGHTS lawsuit, they indeed lose trust of American non-Muslims, FBI, Police. This is so simple to understand and some how they don't get it or don't try to understand it. Let us explain the same through a real life scenario. A Gentleman met two of his old friends at Chennai Airport - one of them was a Hindu and other was a Muslim.His friends requested him to carry some documents to United States. The Hindu friend didn't seal his envelope and volunterly asked him to take a look inside the envelope and requested him to seal the envelope after due verification. The Muslim friend handed over a sealed envelope. When the Gentleman inquired about the contents of the envelope, the Muslim friend invoked the "friendly trust" rights and didn't allow the gentleman to open the packet for verification. The Muslim felt the question as offensive. He was paranoid about the gentleman's plain simple question - "what is there in the packet". He didn't realize that the when US Immigration will ask him - what is in the packet and the gentleman doesn't answer, how he will be treated by US immigration. The Gentleman, without knowing the contents of the envelope of his Muslim friend, brings two packets to USA and delivers them at the designated address. What is the moral here ? The Hindu friend pleased his friend by voluntarily offering to inspect the packet, gained additional confidence the gentleman. The Muslim friend didn't go that extra mile and invoked the "friendly trust" rights. So next time, the Gentleman may avoid helping him. FBI is analogous to this Gentleman and CAIR invokes its CIVIL RIGHTS when they are asked to cooperate. Moderate Muslims raise funds for the terrorist organization HAMAs.
