Whatever happened to the last Contract with America? Oh yeah, 
Republicans got elected, went squishy, and ended doing whatever the hell 
they wanted anyway.


Gimmicky "my side wins!" politics aren't what is necessary.

Cut out fat from the budget
Get out of education
Get out of building automobiles
Get out of running financial institutions
Leave citizens alone
Let states work out their own ways to deal with their own problems
Cut out HHS
Leave private institutions to fund housing and education
Encourage tort reform and the training of more doctors
Encourage interstate sale of health insurance
Reduce sharply the number of unfunded mandates
Initiate zero based budgeting

Help fast track real energy projects, nuclear, oil and gas. (Let the 
fruitcakes who believe in wind and unicorn power use it to run their own 
houseolds on their own dime.)

Get out of the UN.
Demand a sharp revision in NATO or get out of it.
Ditto with all the international organizations we belong to.
Sign a trade treaty with Colombia.
Cut the carp with Honduras.
Punch out Chavez' lights..also Castro's and Morales'.

Cut out the unworkable Rube Goldberg intelligence structure..Reduce to 
the CIA to an operational force.

Get the FBI out of the c/i and c/t operations.
Close up TSA. (Subcontract it to some smart private outfit like Amazon)

Amen, hallelujah, and dittos to what Clarice said.

...also possibly...go home. Congress should be a part time job. They 
have too much time to sit around and think of "things" for us to do and 
ways to spend our money.

Accurately speaking, it is. However, we must devise a way to pay 
Congresscritters in such a way that it becomes a burden rather than a 
gravy train.



I also think that the idea of making them all wear orange jumpsuits with 
little patches for campaign donors over a certain amount, like NASCAR, 
is an idea whose time has come.
