We could also take another approach and just raise the maximum wage, but only for CEO's, to 550% more than they're currently making. Although in reality, CEO's having all the money will not lead to lower unemployment anymore than the opposite is true. Only Libertarians are making the argument that if minimum wages are raised by 550% the economy will be destroyed. Duh. CEO's have BoD's, contracts, and negotiations deciding what their salaries, benefits, raises and perks should be. Independent of how good or bad they may actually perform the job. The average worker has the CEO deciding how little he can pay the average worker and get away with it, without the need for any of the above mentioned they themselves enjoy so much. If the CEO really enjoys risk taking (of which, they're not in any risk at all), he should become a steel worker and build skyscrapers. The reason the economy is so bad, is that CEO's and execs are over- paid and under-performing risk takers. Add to that 2 wars with borrowed money and off-budget spending. Each of the 50 states owe $10 billion each (and growing) to the federal government just for the wars.
