Guess the Dems don't give a darn about this part of the problem.

HEALTH CARE UPDATE:
Lawsuit Reform Discussed at Health Care Summit, But Still Absent from
Any Pending Bills

& type=CO>At last week's Health Care Summit, the President once again
addressed the issue of medical liability reforms -- just as he had
done in his speech to Congress last September.

In fact, President Obama went so far as to acknowledge the
Congressional Budget Office estimate that medical liability reforms
would save the taxpayers more than $50 billion in government spending
alone.

He also expressed interest in reforms that would reduce costly
"defensive medicine" by doctors who are afraid of being sued by
predatory trial lawyers.

So why aren't any meaningful lawsuit reforms contained in the bills
passed by the House or Senate?

Even if you've already done so, please click here today to email
Congress to urge them to include lawsuit reforms in the health care
bill.

If the goal of health care reform is to reduce costs and improve
accessibility, then lawsuit reform is absolutely necessary.

In Texas, where meaningful lawsuit reforms were recently passed to
stave off a health care crisis, we've seen liability insurance rates
stabilize and health care providers return to the state.

The plaintiffs' attorneys who profit from medical liability lawsuits
are pulling out all the stops to oppose meaningful lawsuit reforms in
the health care bill.

That's why we need you to make your voice heard by emailing Congress
today.

Despite the talk of lawsuit reforms, any such meaningful reforms are
still left out of pending legislation.

Any health care reform legislation must include real and meaningful
lawsuit reforms.

Please email Congress today to help make this happen.
