Sir,
It is my belief that the "war" in Afghanistan is not in the interest of
Defense of these United States of America in that it is NOT in our Hemisphere
(see the Monroe Doctrine) and they have not the military capabilities to
directly attack our hemisphere. With that being said, i strongly urge you to
vote IN FAVOR of House Concurrent Resolution 248 as put forward by Mr. Kucinich
and others, or the Senate version of same. And if there is no version of same
in the Senate, then, Mr. merkley, i strongly suggest you introduce one. We
have been over there long enough.
