For the first time in American history, there will be no Protestants on the Supreme Court, though the majority of Americans are Protestants. With all the endless talk of “diversity,” we learn at least one true meaning of that shibboleth: no WASPs need apply. I say that as a non-WASP who admires many of the originals, though the latter-day ones often disappoint. Think, for example, of that upper-class lizard, George H.W. Bush. (Thanks to David Kramer)

You mean Bush the great “evangelical” named two men to the Supreme Court and not one of them was a Protestant? What a betrayal to the thousands of red-state fascist warvangelicals who told everyone that Bush was a Christian just like them!

Lew, it’s worse than you think. We will now have four out of the nine Supreme Court Justices being people who grew up in New ~~World Order~~ York City:

Ruth Bader Ginsburg: Brooklyn
Sonia Sotomayor: Bronx
Elena Kagan: Manhattan
Antonin Scalia: Born in New Jersey, but grew up in Queens
