House Minority Leader John Boehner recently blasted the Obama
Administration and accused the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) of
pursuing a "government takeover of the Internet." And Boehner is already
calling on his fellow members of Congress to "act to reverse this
unnecessary federal government power

Specifically Boehner said:
“Today’s FCC announcement amounts to a government takeover of the Internet,

by the Obama administration. Under this job-killing big government scheme,
the Obama administration is seeking to expand the power of the federal
government.
“The success of the Internet is a perfect example of what happens when
entrepreneurship and innovation are allowed to flourish, but today’s
decision will undermine its success and hurt our economy. The American
people are asking ‘Where are the jobs?’ They aren’t asking for yet another
government takeover.... Congress should listen to the American people and
act to reverse this unnecessary federal government power grab.”
We're with Boehner. Congress has the authority and the obligation to

**We'll Hush-Rush Later... Today, We'll Institute The Fairness Doctrine On
The Internet.***

Can you imagine what would happen if the conservative organizations
that post and send you information (such as this letter) over the Internet
were REQUIRED... UNDER PENALTY OF LAW... to "balance" the truth with the
spin and propaganda of the Obama Administration and extreme leftists in
Congress?
But wait a minute... Barack Obama and the FCC don't have the
authority... they just can't waltz in and take control of the Internet...
can they?
There's an old expression: "Politics is the art of the possible" and if
we do nothing... if no one stops them... that's exactly what they will do.
In fact, this attempt to take over your Internet has actually been going on,
under the radar, for some time now.
Fox News' Phil Kerpen reported several days ago: "That effort suffered
a major setback when the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals emphatically smacked
down the FCC’s regulatory proposals in Comcast v. FCC."
But Obama's not going to let a pesky little unanimous ruling by the
U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit get in his way.
So... is he going to take the matter to the Supreme Court? Not on your
life... he's taking matters into his own hands.
As Kerpen reports; "the White House always finds a way to get around
the normal policy-making process and pursue its agenda by other means."
And that's exactly what Obama is going to do, unless we take immediate
action to stop

**So What's Obama Going To Do?***

Kerpen continues:
"President Obama and his close friend and FCC chairman Julius Genachowski,
however, refuse to back down. Instead they’re escalating to the regulatory
equivalent of a nuclear attack on the free-market Internet: Chairman
Genachowski will announce today his intention to reclassify broadband
Internet as an old-fashioned telephone system as a pretext for pervasive
regulatory control."
The key phrase in Kerpen's report is "pretext for pervasive regulatory
control."That means, once they have their foot in the door... once they have
control, Obama and the FCC could go about instituting their own version of
the "Fairness Doctrine" on the Internet.
According to RedState.org <http://redstate.org/>:
"If the FCC is allowed to put the Internet in the US under those powers,
then the Obama administration will have total power to tax Internet users,
regulate content on Internet servers, and even institute price controls on
Internet services."
Translation: They'll tax you for the privilege of deciding what you can
and cannot see on the Internet (i.e. possibly the very alert you are reading
at this very moment)... and they'll cripple and choke Internet providers and
force them to bend to their will.
Of course, Obama and the FCC don't really have the authority to do what
they are setting out to do (and they don't really care... damn the
Congress... damn the courts... damn the American people... full speed ahead)

That authority actually rests with Congress... but that means that
Congress must act and exert its authority and stop this plan dead in its

Again, "politics is the art of the possible." Our founding fathers knew
it too. That's why we have three branches of government to provide checks
and balances and prevent a renegade and tyrannically-minded elected official
from seizing control.
Boehner knows it as well... that's why he's calling on Congress to act.
In fact, Congress has a duty, under the Constitution, to stop this power
grab by the Executive Branch.
But patriots like Boehner need your help. Congress needs to hear from
you. You need to send a clear message to Barack Obama and the FCC, that

**A Marxist Plot To Take Over The Internet?***

Obama's FCC Chairman, Julius Genachowski may be the man who will
attempt to implement this plan to takeover the Internet but an examination
of the cast of characters surrounding Genachowski should give any reasonable
person cause for alarm.
One of the shadow organizations that is joined-at-the-hip to
Genachowski in regards to this plan to takeover the Internet is a
Marxist-run organization ironically called Free Press.
Don't take our word for it. Here's what Glenn Beck had to say on the
matter:
"Free Press has [had] three confirmed meetings now with Obama's FCC to work
on new Internet regulations.... The FCC chairman, not to be confused with
the diversity 'czar' - this is the chairman of the FCC, Julius Genachowski -
chose Free Press spokeswoman, Jen Howard, to be his press secretary."
In another venue, Beck said:
"The FCC is being inundated by a special interest group ironically named
Free Press, whose goal it is to limit America's free press and freedom of
speech. This special interest group also claims that it's due to special
interest groups that it has become necessary for them to intervene on our
behalf."
Newsbuster.org <http://newsbuster.org/> also addressed what is going on
behind the scenes:
"The groundwork for government information totalitarianism - favored by
people like Hugo Chavez- loving FCC 'Diversity Czar' Mark Lloyd and Marxist
'media reform'-outfit Free Press founder Robert McChesney - is being laid in
the Plan being crafted by FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski."
And just in case you may still doubt the motives of the folks creating
this plan, consider some of the past comments of the man-behind-the-curtain,
Free Press' founder Robert McChesney:

Congress has power and authority over the FCC... Congress must intercede and
use that power and authority to stop this bastardly
