Hey Studio, I am no expert here, but I don't think it would take a lot to get a private entity geared up to replace the Post Office, in a matter of weeks, and done profitably. Again, this is mere speculation on my part, but I don't see the Post Office as being any model of efficiency or a poster child for well managed entities.
No doubt, that if private industry took over the Post Office, the rates would surely double, at least for what we know today, as a First Class letter.
