When did we get Venezuela as a state? Ok, well not actually, but the actions of Michigan moonbats, sure sounds like the playbook of Venezuela dictator Hugo Chavez. Politicians taking over the media to make sure people get "the truth." Sounds like Chavez. Fox News reports: A Michigan lawmaker wants to register reporters to ensure they’re credible and have “good moral character.” State Sen. Bruce Patterson is introducing legislation that will regulate reporters much as the state regulates hairdressers, auto mechanics and plumbers. Patterson, who also practices constitutional law, says the general public is being overwhelmed by an increasing number of media outlets -- traditional, online and citizen generated -- and an even greater amount of misinformation. “Legitimate media sources are critically important to our government,” he said. He told FoxNews.com that some reporters covering state politics don’t know what they’re talking about and they’re working for publications he’s never heard of, so he wants to install a process that’ll help him and the general public figure out which reporters to trust. Yes, trust the so-called journalists these corrupt politicians trust. We are bound to only get the truth and nothing but the truth from these journalist who are in bed with these same politicians who clearly do not understand the FIRST AMENDMENT. After all, the government knows best. Control the messenger, control the message. This is a strategy for these progressive loons in their attack upon freedom of speech and a free press. We have witnessed this strategy with the Obama administration's attack upon Fox News, Glenn Beck, radio personalities, bloggers and anyone else critical of the president and his policies. Pay attention to what these progressives are saying and attempting to do.
