Posted this morning at Electric Politics, a podcast interview with Charles Wohlforth, author most recently of The Fate of Nature (Thomas Dunne, 2010). Charles, a libertarian environmentalist from Alaska, reported on the Exxon Valdez spill for the Anchorage Daily News (Alaska's largest circulation newspaper), and has subsequently written several highly acclaimed non-fiction books on environmental issues. Regardless whether one agrees with an Alaskan libertarian outlook, there's a lot that people -- especially people who live in the Gulf region -- can learn from the Alaskan experience.
