You are of course correct. The stimulus as used by Mr. Obama and his boys is far better than the Bush ideal. Each person you see working is at a mean cost per job of only 300, 000 USD each. That is my idea of moving ahead as well.
They've now spent $26,749,655 for 144,000 hours of work. Do the math, that's $185 an hour. That means that every full-time job "created" by Oregon's stimulus programs costs taxpayers nearly *$371,000 a year*. Other states are worse and a few are better. I would LOVE a job that paid 185 USD/Hr. I would hate one that cost me that much. Be proud.
