No, I am in the speak the truth about the union workers and their
attitude towards quality. At one time unions stood for quality
workmanship and deserved support. Those days are long gone. When
American cars were well made and imported cars were copied from ours,
just downsized, buying an American car was worth while. Now we have
ceded the image of quality to Germany and Japan even when the cars are
built here in non-union factories. Buy a Honda, made in Ohio, or a
Toyota, made in Kentucky or South Carolina, or a Mercedes, made in SC or
Alabama, and you will buy quality. They even import them back to the
home countries. Buy a Cadillac and you are buying an out of date Opel
design that is badly screwed together these days.
