Interesting that you use the term "coded racism." With the current
administration that is the same as saying you do not agree with Obama
and his admin. You really need to describe the codes of the racism.
Is it like the claim that has never been proven that John Lewis heard
someone call him a n*gger because if so then it is false coded racism
since with all the mics around there nobody from either side has been
able to prove the statement. Do you remember the dream that MLK had
that race should play no part in the life of a person; instead they
should be accepted based on themselves, not their race. How do Al
Sharpton and Jesse Jackson and Julian Bond and NAACP fit into that
one. It seems that the conservatives are far less race conscious than
the libs are. It also seems as if being gay should play no part as
well. After all the first gay official appointed to a statewide office
in California was appointed by Ronald Reagan. The DADT and DOMA were
both signed by a Democratic president and DADT was passed by a Dem
congress and senate. You want them gone and you have had a Dem
majority house and senate for 4 years and president for 2 years. Don't
see them gone yet. The military can't just implement that. DADT and
DOMA are both statutes and therefore require congressional action to
repeal them. Haven't seen anything but talk on that one from this
administration and congress.
Next question is when did you realize that Aug 28 was the date of the
MLK speech. I would bet money that it was not until after Glenn Beck
announced his protest and you were scuffling around looking for
something to complain about. At the same time how do you match your
complaints with the appearance of MLK's niece at the Glenn Beck protest
as an honored guest. Seems as if she has more right to either support
or not than you and the rest of the libs do since she is directly involved.
Loved the protest by Sharpton. He was actually able to fill a high
school foot ball field. Guess it did not play too well with the
protests against Beck after all. Also guess that Beck has a lot more
support thant the libs do.
Maybe you should go back to the drawing board on this one.

group. The individual may be seen as one who falsely claims the gift
of prophecy, or who uses that gift for demagogy or evil ends."
What could be a more apt description of Beck?
His desecration of the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King and his
ongoing coded racism are just two examples of whose side he is in the
religious firmament, and it's not the side of the angels.
Beck is a perverse Howard Beale, the TV broadcaster turned "prophet,"
in the prescient movie from many years back, "Network." In fact, in
that film, Beale evolves from a network anchor to a "mad as Hell"
preacher, complete with stained glass windows behind him when he is
televised.
Friday night, Beck led what was described as a religious revival rally
at the Kennedy Center, with Beck as both prophet and Christ-like
leader of a new age, a "great awakening in America."
But isn't it really a prophetic sign of our descent into a state of
hateful hysteria?
