Another day of Obama blaming Bush for budgets submitted by Democrats since 2007. Laughable. Then he wants to accuse others of having amnesia while he seems to be suffering from it and dodging responsibility of passing two record-setting budget deficits in history<http://abcnews.go.com/Business/wireStory?id=9715793> . CBS News <http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-20016979-503544.html> reports: *President Obama said today that members of the Tea Party movement are "misidentifying... who the culprits are" in blaming Democrats for the nation's deficits and debt.* The president did offer some words of encouragement for the largely conservative movement, saying it fits in America's "noble tradition of being healthily skeptical about government...[and] saying that government should pay its way." *But he stressed that the administration of George W. Bush that left him with massive deficits in part by spending on two wars without paying for them while at the same time lowering taxes.* As for his own polices, Mr. Obama, appearing at a business town hall hosted by CNBC, said the "majority of economists will tell you that the emergency steps we take are not the problem long term," referring to programs like the stimulus package and the auto bailout. "The challenge, I think, for the Tea Party movement is to identify specifically, what would you do?" Mr. Obama said. "It's not enough just to say, 'Get control of spending.' I think it's important for you to say, 'You know, I'm willing to cut veterans' benefits,' or, 'I'm willing to cut Medicare or Social Security benefits,' or, 'I'm willing to see these taxes go up.'" Obama already is willing to cut Medicare. Obama also increased taxes on alcohol, tobacco and ammunition <http://scottystarnes.wordpress.com/2010/07/15/obamas-sin-taxes-on-alcohol-tabacco-and-firearms-net-the-government-20-6-billion/>his first week in office. Not to mention that ALL TAXPAYERS are paying for the budget deficits the Democrats have put forth since 2007.
