Angry Losing "Tea Party" New York Gubernatorial Candidate Carl Paladino Threatens Winner Andrew Cuomo with a Baseball Bat
-- Carl Paladino and his baseball bat By Sarah Muller - Wed Nov 3, 2010 11:06 AM EDT It seems almost fitting Carl Paladino waved an orange baseball bat around on national TV in his so-called concession speech. The New York gubernatorial candidate lost to Democrat Andrew Cuomo by a landslide in yesterday's election. Paladino's anti-gay remarks, racist emails and physically threats to people didn't scream "best person to govern" to New Yorkers. Further confirming our suspicions of his erratic streak, he delivered a "message" to Cuomo behind the podium. He said his bat was a metaphor for the people. And if Cuomo uses it to help the state, great. Then, Paladino issued a warning. He said, if Cuomo chooses to "leave [the bat] untouched," he runs "the risk of having it wielded against" him. Was this an actual threat or just a really crappy metaphor?
