Posted this morning at Electric Politics, a podcast interview on the recent French labor unrest, with Diana Johnstone, from Paris.
Here in the U.S. people with a liberal outlook express their frustration with government either by not voting or by attending post- modern, non-political gatherings on the National Mall. Neither really solve the problem of America's lurching back and forth from one set of plutocratic overlords to another. Probably we could learn something about political action from the French. The author Diana Johnstone is a long time resident of Paris and an unusually perceptive observer of the human condition. If you enjoy the podcast please don't hesitate to forward the link.
